Al Capone's Palm Island Mansion for Sale

article written By Tatyana Versace for Tropical Style Magazine.

Al Capone may have been Chicago's most famous mob boss, but Capone spent a lot of time in Miami. He once operated a speakeasy on the 13th floor of the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables. After a night of gambling, he could retire to his enormous mansion on Palm Island. It's incredible to think that back in 1928, Capone bought this prime property on Biscayne Bay for just 40,000.

In the next few weeks, the gangster's property will go up for sale and this time it comes with a $9.95 million dollar price tag.

If these walls could talk, what tales they could tell. For it was here, within these walls that Capone plotted the Valentine’s Day Massacre. This was also where Capone died of cardiac arrest on on January 25, 1947.

The mansion features seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, Private boat dock and a Black-and-gold Art Deco powder room that looks the same as when Al Capone used it. In fact the current owner, restored the 0.7-acre mansion to it's original condition so that it looks exactly as it did when Al Capone owned it.

Tropic Style Magazine is very pleased to have the opportunity to tour the property for an upcoming feature.
